Heavy Lift and Project Management

Since 1972, Augustea has been active in offshore towing, expanding in 1985 to operate semi-submersible barges. Over the years, it has evolved from a vessel provider to a turnkey supplier, integrating barges, tugs, engineering, and operational services worldwide. Today, it's fleet includes four Anchor Handling Tugs, five semi-submersible barges, and two flat-top ballastable barges. Augustea specializes in renewable T&I campaigns, offshore wind farms, Oil & Gas, ocean towage, salvage, and special operations, notably assisting in the 2021 Ever Given salvage. In partnership with others, it offers project management, engineering, and logistical solutions.

Fleet

With it's fleet and experienced management, Augustea provides services to the Heavy lift market and transportation sector. Project management and engineering services complete the range of activities to support any client request. Augustea is continuously monitoring the developments in the market to anticipate the evolution in the sector and serve the future demand of challenging projects.

Tugs

With decades of experience in operating Tugs for all kind of projects, Augustea owns 4 units of Anchor Handling Tugs engaged in the support to Heavy lift market (Offshore Windfarms and Oil & Gas) and deep sea towage. Augustea provides full package of services including the technical management, crew management, commercial management and operations.

Barges

Augustea is one of the most important players in the Barge sector thanks to it's important fleet and it's experienced staff to operate and manage these assets. With a total of 7 units under it's control, Augustea is a key partner for all the main Contractors, able to support in challenging projects from logistic to launching operations.

Since 1980, Augustea has achieved numerous milestones in the transportation sector, reflecting it's strategic growth and operational developments in the maritime industry.

2025

In January 2025, Augustea increased it's fleet through the acquisition of two semi-submersible barges: AMT Giant and AMT Goliath. These two assets (ex Giant 5 and Giant 6) put Augustea as one of the main players for oceangoing barges over 400ft

2022

After the conversion works the CD01 (ex AMT Commander) sails to Scotland for her first activities with BAE Systems.

2021

In March, the AHT Carlo Magno is engaged for the salvage of the Ever Given, to unblock the Suez Canal

2021

On 29th January 2021 the semi-submersible barge AMT Commander has been delivered to “Malin Augustea UK Ltd”. The barge will be converted to serve the needs of a UK Navy program for the launch of new frigates.
